Around the world, nearly one-fifth of all air freight is chilled goods. Additionally, a sizable portion of that is exported. Compared to goods to US internal markets, goods to international markets, particularly Asia, is more frequent and significantly more profitable.

The Eurofreight International Group, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is one of the biggest freight firms in the world. According to IBISWorld, Eurofreight controlled 31% of the global goods forwarding market in 2017. But it only recently entered the American market, making its debut there in 2008. By growing its global network of airport agents — the network carriers whose agents occupy the freight space of freight forwarders' — Eurofreight claims it hopes to gain momentum in the United States.
